DESCRIPTION:If you have never taken the Path to Membership Class offered by MVUU\, and are interested in learning more about our congregation now is your chance. The class will be taught by our own Rev. Ron Phares and only requires a commitment to attend one Saturday morning on April 14\, 2018. The class will convey some history of Unitarian Universalism\, information about MVUU\, give you an opportunity to get to know Reverend Ron\, and meet your classmates. If you decide to take the next step and join the congregation\, Sunday\, April 15\, there will be a brunch for those who wish to join where you will get a chance to meet congregational leaders including board of trustee members and committee leaders.  After the brunch\, as we now meet in the afternoon\, our practice will include a new member ceremony where you will be introduced to the congregation as new members. If you have any questions or are interested in attending\, please contact Conrad Paul at conrad.paul@mvuu.org and he will be happy to answer any questions and/or put you on the list of attendees.

DESCRIPTION:First Friday Hike (Could be the Last)\nWe will be hiking in Catalina State Park on Friday\, April 6 at 9 am. Meet at the Chase Bank parking lot across Oracle from the park entrance so we can carpool with folks that have park permits. Wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes and bring water\, a hat\, and sunscreen. In Tucson\, we have been inspired by Gabby Giffords\, those we lost\, and the survivors of the January ​8\, 2011​ shooting​​. This march is an opportunity to take action. On Saturday\, March 24 at 11​ ​​am\, the community will gather at Jacome Plaza​\, 101 N Stone Ave\, Tucson​ (near the Valdez Library). If you would like to participate and car pool\, please come to ​Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church by 9:30 that morning. There is parking near the site. Highlighted will be the multi-faceted aspects of immigration.
